We’ll pick you up from PGIA Airport in Belize City where you will take a short ride to our hotel. Enjoy some “down time” after your flight or take a dip in one of the hotel pools. Later you will attend our Welcome Reception. Here you will meet the staff, other tour guests, and receive a more detailed itinerary for the entire trip. You’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
After breakfast we’ll focus our attention on our information-packed seminar. There will be lots of guest speakers, including a local attorney, a senior immigration officer, offshore bankers, a spokesperson for the QRP program and others. Bring your list of questions for our experts. Before the end of the day we will take a short flight to Placencia.
Our tour today focuses on Placencia, a sixteen mile peninsula in the south with white sandy beaches. We’ll check out some of the available real estate and explore the town. Take a stroll on the beach or hop on a bicycle and explore on your own. For those of you wanting to explore Hopkins, this is also an option. Spend another night in a true tropical paradise.
Today takes us to to the northern part of Belize. After a brief flight back to Belize City, we’ll ride in an air-conditioned van to visit Consejo and Corozal Town. This area by the bay is particularly popular with expats, probably because of it’s proximity to Mexico and low cost of living. You will meet expats and see new and existing homes for sale here, as we visit one of the oldest expat communities in Belize.
We’ll fly from Corozal to the island of Ambergris Caye. Explore the island and view a few of the available real estate choices for those looking for the island life. There will be plenty of time for strolling on the beach or relaxing by the pool. Or you may just decide to check out the shops or stop in at a local bar for spirits. Our tour continues here tomorrow.
Today is a very relaxed day with some well needed “down time”. We will leave in the morning for a 2 1/2 hour snorkeling trip. If you prefer not to snorkel, we’ll transport you via water taxi to Caye Caulker. If neither of these options appeal to you, stay in town and use the day as you please. We’ll be in the heart of San Pedro Town, which is the subject of Madonna’s hit song “La Isla Bonita”. There’s so much to do in this town, you won’t have a problem enjoying the day. Perhaps you will want to join the group for Belizean Cultural Night for dinner.
For those of you only attending the 7 day tour, we’ll fly you from San Pedro to PGIA in Belize City where you will connect with your international flight back home. Depending on what time your flight leaves, you may choose to go into town or just chill by the pool or on the beach. The rest of us will take a short flight from San Pedro back to Belize City, where transportation will be waiting for us. After a visit to the Belize Zoo we’ll stop at an expat-owned restaurant for lunch. Then we’ll head towards Belmopan, the capital of Belize. We’ll see the important government buildings you might need to visit if you move to Belize. Next we will travel to the area of San Ignacio, stopping along the way to view homes for sale and maybe stop at a souvenir shop before heading to our hotel.
The Cayo district is the largest district in Belize, and boasts over 2,000 miles of tropical forest, rolling hills, rich pasture land, vibrant rivers and an amazing assortment of Maya archaeological sites. After visiting one of the Maya ruins, we’ll tour one of the largest Mennonite communities in Belize. You won’t believe the awesome furniture made here, and especially the prices. Also for sale are wooden homes you can have delivered to your property. After the day is done we will travel back to Belize City to spend our last night.
For those of you with flights later in the day, you may choose to visit a local museum or take a taxi into town to explore. There’s always the option to check out the local casino, or take that last dip in the pool before heading back home. If your trip continues on your own, we’ll help you make any necessary arrangements. The rest of the group will be transported back to the international airport to connect with their flights home.
